Aixa Montero Ferreiro
Aixa Montero Ferreiro holds a BA in English Language and Literature (2024) from Universidade de Santiago de Compostela (USC) and an MA in Advanced English Studies and its Applications (2025) from the same university. Her current research interests lie within the fields of postcolonial literature, diaspora studies, and migration studies. At the moment, she is preparing her PhD thesis under the supervision of Professor Noemí Pereira Ares. Provisionally titled “Rewriting the Rules of Detection: Crime Fiction and British-Asian Identity”, this project aims at exploring how British-Asian crime fiction pushes the boundaries of crime and detective narratives to accommodate our modern society, interrogating questions of ethnicity, citizenship, belonging and institutional power in contemporary Britain.
