Celia Bermúdez Besteiro

Celia Bermúdez Besteiro graduated in English Language and Literature from the University of Santiago de Compostela (2024). She subsequently obtained a master’s degree in secondary education teacher training at the University of A Coruña (2025).

She is currently working on her doctoral thesis under the supervision of María de los Ángeles Gómez González. Her research, provisionally entitled AI-Mediated Revision of L2 Academic Writing: A Discourse-Analytic Study of Textual Reconfiguration and Prompting Practices, examines L2 academic writing under conditions of AI-mediated revision. The study analyses discourse-level reconfiguration in students’ texts, together with the prompting and interaction practices associated with this reconfiguration during revision with ChatGPT. Her main research interests include discourse analysis, L2 academic writing, and digital technologies.
