Martín Fernández Fernández

Martín Fernández Fernández holds a BA in English Language and Literature (2015) and an MA in Advanced English Studies and its Applications (2016), both from the University of Santiago de Compostela, Spain. In 2013 he was granted an Erasmus scholarship to study at the University of Sheffield (UK). Martín Fernández-Fernández is currently working on his PhD dissertation under the supervision of Dr. Constante González Groba. Provisionally entitled The Emmett Till Case in US Fiction and Drama, his thesis analyzes the different ways of coming to terms with the Emmett Till trauma of several social groups of the USA in a number of literary manifestations in which race, gender, and class intersect with trauma studies. His main lines of research include US literature and culture, African American studies, and the US South.
