The Literature Team\u00a02<\/strong>, coordinated by Manuela Palacios Gonz\u00e1lez, brings together experts on contemporary Irish poetry and narrative, as well as Joycean scholars. Team members are particularly interested in the intersections between literature, gender studies and ecocriticism. Additionally, this literature team also carries out comparative studies between Galician and Irish cultural and literary realities. All these research interests are at the core of Eco-fictions: Emergent Discourses on Woman and Nature in Galicia and Ireland <\/em>(FEM2015-66937-P, 2016-2018), a recent research project led by Manuela Palacios Gonz\u00e1lez and funded by the Spanish Ministry of Economy and Competitiveness. The members of this team have published widely on the aforementioned research lines, including articles in prestigious scholarly journals in the area as well as books and volumes in international publishing houses (i.e. Peter Lang, Rodopi, Routledge, Shearsman Books, Salmon Poetry). Galician, Basque and Catalan Women\u2019s Poetry in Translations by Irish Writers<\/a>\u00a0<\/em><\/span>(2012), edited by\u00a0Manuela Palacios; Creation,\u00a0Publishing,\u00a0and\u00a0Criticism:\u00a0The\u00a0Advance\u00a0of\u00a0Women\u2019s\u00a0Writing<\/em><\/a><\/span> (2010) coedited by\u00a0Manuela Palacios, Laura Lojo and\u00a0M\u00aa Xes\u00fas Nogueira; Writing Bonds: Irish and Galician Contemporary Women Poets<\/em><\/a><\/span> (2009), edited\u00a0by Manuela Palacios and\u00a0Laura Lojo; \u201cThe Scallops of Saint James, an Old Pilgrim\u2019s Hoard\u201d: Reading Joyce from the Peripheries<\/em><\/a><\/span> (2006), coedited by group members\u00a0Susana Dom\u00ednguez Pena and\u00a0Margarita Est\u00e9vez-Sa\u00e1; or\u00a0A Pilgrimage from Belfast to Santiago de Compostela: The Anatomy of Bernard MacLaverty\u2019s Triumph over Frontiers<\/em><\/a><\/span> (2002), written by\u00a0Margarita Est\u00e9vez-Sa\u00e1 and\u00a0Anne MacCarthy,\u00a0are but a few representative examples. The team has also organized multiple events such as the International Seminar on \u2018Creation, Editing and Criticism: Irish and Galician Poets<\/em>\u2019 (2009) or the course Gender Studies: Literature in Feminine\/Masculine <\/em>(2006). Since 2009, group members have been awarded more than 5 research projects. Additionally, Manuela Palacios Gonz\u00e1lez works in conjunction with literary and cultural institutions such as the\u00a0Instituto Cervantes<\/a><\/span> (Dublin), The Arts Council<\/em><\/a><\/span> (Ireland), CIPPCE<\/a><\/span> (Research Centre for Emerging Cultural Processes and Practices), Ireland Literature Exchange<\/em><\/a><\/span>, Asociaci\u00f3n de Escritores en Lingua Galega<\/a><\/span>, as well as with Irish and Galician publishing houses and foreign universities such as University College Cork<\/em> (UCC) and\u00a0University College Dublin<\/em> (UCD).<\/h3>\n
