SCIMITAR constit\u00fae un foro de cooperaci\u00f3n internacional entre investigadores orientado ao estudo da interface entre a gram\u00e1tica e o discurso, fundamentalmente en ingl\u00e9s, pero tam\u00e9n en (contraste con) outras linguas como o espa\u00f1ol, galego, portugu\u00e9s, franc\u00e9s, holand\u00e9s ou alem\u00e1n. Ademais dos membros pertencentes ao grupo de investigaci\u00f3n D&I, o equipo SCIMITAR tam\u00e9n conta coa valiosa colaboraci\u00f3n de investigadores do resto de Espa\u00f1a, as\u00ed como de Canad\u00e1, Reino Unido, Holanda e Portugal. Desde a s\u00faa fundaci\u00f3n no ano 2002, SCIMITAR consigna m\u00e1is de 250 publicaci\u00f3ns (34 libros; 200 artigos e cap\u00edtulos de libro; 20 recensi\u00f3ns) en editoriais de reco\u00f1ecido prestixio internacional (John Benjamins, Peter Lang, Routledge), as\u00ed como nas revistas de maior impacto dentro do \u00e1mbito da ling\u00fc\u00edstica (inglesa) (<\/span>Applied Linguistics<\/em>, <\/span>Discourse Studies<\/em>, <\/span>Language Sciences<\/em>, <\/span>Pragmatics<\/em>, <\/span>Word<\/em>). As\u00ed mesmo, SCIMITAR organizou m\u00e1is de 13 encontros internacionais, inclu\u00edndo tres edici\u00f3ns do <\/span>International Contrastive Linguistics Conference<\/em> (ICLC), celebradas en Santiago de Compostela en 2001, 2003 e 2005.
