From January 2022 to August 2024, he was a Margarita Salas Postdoctoral Fellow at the Department of Language, Literature, and Culture of the University of A Coru\u00f1a. In 2018, Mart\u00edn spent a three-month research stay as an Assistant Specialist at the Department of African American Studies of the University of California, Irvine. He is the author of The Emmett Till Trauma in US Fiction: Psychological Realism, Magic Realism, and the Spectral<\/em><\/a> (Peter Lang, 2023), and has published his research in scientific journals such as RAEI<\/em>, RCEI<\/em>, and REN<\/em>, among others. Mart\u00edn has been member of competitive research projects about race and the body in US literature and film (ref. PGC2018-095687-B-I00, AEI, EU), and about the application of waste studies to the exploration of literature and contemporary globalization (ref. PID2019-106798GB-I00\/AEI\/10.13039\/501100011033).
