Her research has centred on the area of second language acquisition, particularly on lexical innovation in the interlanguage of L2 learners. Along this line, she has published works such as <em>Adquisici\u00f3n y aprendizaje del l\u00e9xico de una L2 <\/em>(1999), <span style=\"color: #000080;\"><em><a style=\"color: #000080;\" href=\"http:\/\/lincom-shop.eu\/LSLA-11-Interlanguage-Lexical-Innovation\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Interlanguage Lexical Innovation<\/a> <\/em><\/span>(2004) or \u201cInnovaci\u00f3n l\u00e9xica: compuestos nominales en la interlingua de aprendices espa\u00f1oles de ingl\u00e9s como L2\u201d (2005).
