Mar\u00eda de los \u00c1ngeles G\u00f3mez Gonz\u00e1lez <\/strong>es Catedr\u00e1tica de Universidad en Lengua y Ling\u00fc\u00edstica Inglesas en la Universidad de Santiago de Compostela (USC), donde imparte y coordina las asignaturas English Phonetics and Phonology<\/em>, English Syntax and Semantics<\/em> y Pragmatics and Discourse Analysis in English<\/em>. Mar\u00eda de los \u00c1ngeles G\u00f3mez Gonz\u00e1lez es la investigadora principal de SCIMITAR<\/a> y ha liderado muchos de los proyectos de investigaci\u00f3n otorgados a este grupo de investigaci\u00f3n tanto a nivel regional, nacional como internacional. Entre sus principales intereses de investigaci\u00f3n destacan la ling\u00fc\u00edstica funcional y aplicada, as\u00ed como la pragm\u00e1tica y el an\u00e1lisis del discurso. Mar\u00eda ha publicado m\u00e1s de cincuenta cap\u00edtulos de libro, rese\u00f1as y art\u00edculos en numerosas revistas acad\u00e9micas como Applied Linguistics<\/em>, Discourse Studies<\/em>, Language Sciences<\/em> y Word<\/em>, entre otras.
