Her research interests include the work of James Joyce and, more recently, contemporary Irish fiction by women. She has published essays in which she studied the topic of immigration in recent Irish fiction, such as \u201cAntidotes to Celtic Tiger Ireland in Contemporary Irish Fiction: Anne Haverty\u2019s <em>The Free and the Easy<\/em> and \u00c9ill\u00eds N\u00ed Dhuibne\u2019s Fox, <em>Swallow, Scarecrow<\/em>\u201d (2010) and \u201cImmigration in Celtic Tiger and post-Celtic Tiger Novels\u201d (2013). She has also read contemporary novels in English from a transcultural perspective in \u201cTrauma and Transculturalism in Contemporary Fictional Memories of the 9\/11 Terrorist Attacks\u201d (2016) and \u201c\u2018Us returniks\u2019: Transcultural Atlantic Exchanges in Mary Rose Callaghan\u2019s and Elizabeth Wassell\u2019s Novels\u201d (2018). She co-edited the volume <em>The Ethics and Aesthetics of Eco-caring: Contemporary Debates on Ecofeminism(s)<\/em> (Routledge, 2019) and the special number of <em>Estudios Irlandeses<\/em> \u201cEcofictions, The Animal Trope and Irish Studies\u201d (2020).
