Inmaculada P\u00e9rez Casal

<\/h4>\n

Inmaculada P\u00e9rez Casal <\/strong>holds an BA and an MA from the University of Santiago de Compostela, being specialised in the American Romance Novel. She is currently working on her PhD dissertation under the supervision of Dr. Margarita Est\u00e9vez-Sa\u00e1 and Dr. Patricia Fra-L\u00f3pez. Entitled Antecedents and Development of the Contemporary Romance Novel in English: A Study of the Contribution to the Genre by Rosamunde Pilcher, Maeve Binchy and Lisa Kleypas<\/em>, the dissertation combines gender and genre studies with the aim of studying the romance novel in English. P\u00e9rez Casal’s main research interests are gender and genre studies, popular culture and literature of female authorship.<\/h4>\n
