Mour\u00f3n Figueroa also conducts research in the field of medieval English drama, mostly from a sociocultural perspective. Along this line, she has published, amongst other contributions,\u00a0El ciclo de York. <\/i>Sociedad y cultura en la Inglaterra medieval<\/i><\/a> (2005), o A Arca de No\u00e9. <\/i>Traduci\u00f3n<\/i> ao<\/i> galego<\/i> de \u201c<\/i>Noah\u2019s<\/i> Ark<\/i>\u201d do Newcastle <\/i>(non-<\/i>cycle<\/i>) Play e \u201c<\/i>The<\/i> Fall<\/i> of <\/i>Angels<\/i>\u201d (do York <\/i>Cycle<\/i>)<\/i><\/a> (2011, co-authored with\u00a0Bego\u00f1a Crespo and\u00a0Isabel Moskowich).\u00a0Mour\u00f3n Figueroa\u2019s medievalist research is also intimately linked to the area of gender studies, which has resulted in a series of publications that vindicate and analyse the role of women in medieval societies:\u00a0\u201cMujeres en profesiones m\u00e9dicas y su reputaci\u00f3n en la Inglaterra medieval: el caso de Un mundo sin fin <\/i>de Ken Follet\u201d<\/a> (2011), \u201cCulpabilidad o inocencia de Eva en la literatura inglesa y castellana de la Baja Edad Media\u201d (2004, co-authored with\u00a0Mercedes Pamp\u00edn Barral) or \u201cMarried Women in Fourteenth-Century English Society: Evidence from \u2018The Wife of Bath\u2019\u201d (2000).\u00a0Additionally, Mour\u00f3n Figueroa has largely contributed to making the historical and mythological figure of King Richard III more widely known in Galicia and Spain, publishing contributions on the subject \u2013 Shakespeare\u2019s <\/em>Richard III: The Historical Truth behind the Myth<\/em> (2004) \u2013 and organizing multiple and variegated seminars such as A Reassessment of King Richard III: The Man and the Myth <\/em>(2011) or Richard III: The Return of the King <\/em>(2015).
