Katia Fernández Jorge

Katia Fernández Jorge holds a BA in English Language and Literature (2020) and an MA in Advanced English Studies (2021), both from the Universidade de Santiago de Compostela. Katia is now working on her doctoral dissertation under the supervision of Prof. Margarita Estévez Saa and Prof. Susana Jiménez Placer. Her dissertation examines the textual representations of trauma in Toni Morrison’s fiction. Katia’s research interests include, among others, African-American literature and culture, trauma studies, gender and cultural studies.
