Elsa González Álvarez
Elsa Mª González Álvarez is Tenured Senior Lecturer in English at the University of Santiago de Compostela (USC). Her research has centred on the area of second language acquisition, particularly on lexical innovation in the interlanguage of L2 learners. Along this line, she has published works such as Adquisición y aprendizaje del léxico de una L2 (1999), Interlanguage Lexical Innovation (2004) or “Innovación léxica: compuestos nominales en la interlingua de aprendices españoles de inglés como L2” (2005). More recently, González Álvarez has conducted research in contrastive linguistics, collaborating in and co-editing the volumes Languages and Cultures in Contrast and Comparison (2008) and Current Trends in Contrastive Linguistics: Functional and Cognitive Perspectives (2008).
