In the 2024/2025 academic year, she participated in the Language Assistants Program, coordinated by the British Council and the Spanish Ministry of Education, working at Kingswood School in Bath. She is currently pursuing a PhD under the supervision of Dr Laura Lojo Rodríguez. Her dissertation, provisionally entitled “The Horror of Having a Body: Gender and Girlhood in Contemporary Horror Films”, examines how female adolescence is represented and negotiated in contemporary horror cinema. Drawing on cultural, gender studies and feminist film theory, her research interrogates the archetypal roles assigned to girls, the affective power of horror, and the subversive potential of the genre in reshaping cultural understandings of gender and adolescence.
