Noemí Pereira Ares

Noemí Pereira-Ares graduated in 2009 from the University of A Coruña and completed her PhD in 2015 from the University of Santiago de Compostela. Her research lines include contemporary e/immigration literature, postcolonial, transcultural and diaspora studies, as well as a sociological approximation to the dressed body in literature. Her research was published in international academic journals like The Journal of Postcolonial Writing and Journal of Commonwealth Literature. Recently, Pereira-Ares has published a monograph entitled Fashion, Dress and Identity in the Narratives of the South Asian Diaspora: From the Eighteenth Century to Monica Ali (Palgrave Macmillan, 2018).
