María Victoria Fuentes Del Río
María Victoria Fuentes Del Río holds a BA in English Language and Literature (2020), and an MA in Advanced English Studies (2021), both obtained at the Universidade de Santiago de Compostela. She is currently working on her Doctoral Thesis temporally titled “Female Characters in H. G. Wells’ Social Novel” under the supervision of Dr. Jorge Sacido Romero. In her Thesis, she analyses the identity of H. G.Wells’ female characters, focusing on those who are in a sex-affective, marital, or romantic relationship. Victoria’s research interests comprise H. G. Wells’ fiction, gender studies, dystopian and apocalyptic literature, the relation between literature and ideology, and the history and culture of the British Isles.
